We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sessional Youth Worker to join our award winning social enterprise. This role requires you to work within the sustainable communities’ team and you will be providing a wide range Youth Work programmes & interventions in Calderdale (specifically the Hub @ Pellon and surrounding areas).
We are looking for a Sessional Youth worker who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people and the communities we serve. Your role will involve recruiting young people into the project, retain their engagement and encourage them to participate in sessions and activities which will raise aspirations, challenge them physically and emotionally, enabling them to reach and obtain their full potential.
This role will involve working with young people 8 – 19 years old and up to 24 with disabilities or additional needs. We also proactively engage families and the community in which young people live. The successful candidate will monitor positive outcomes for young people, advocate on their behalf, support them in successful transitions into adulthood and ensure a safe and supportive environment is created where young people can thrive.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a fully enhanced DBS check as well
