Salary: £8.50 – £10.00 an hour
We are looking for a skilled individual to join our small team. This person must have excellent fashion high street retail customer service and selling skills. Jewellery experience would be a benefit but not entirely necessary as long as you are used to the retail industry.
Please only apply if you have genuine high street retail experience for example within the jewellery, department stores or clothing industry.
The position is for 2-3 set days including Saturdays with the working day being 8.30am until 5.30pm. The salary is £8.50-£10 per hour depending on the candidate and experience.
Job Type / Category
The main responsibilities within this role would be selling fashion jewellery such as Links of London, Olivia Burton, Carat London and Clogau to name a few, as well as fine diamond jewellery and wedding rings. The role will also involve dealing with customer repairs, being able to free dress windows, stock handling and replenishment as well as maintaining the smooth running of the store. We work with Epos till systems so experience with these is essential. We also run an eCommerce Website, someone with experience of this is not essential but would provide a great benefit.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
We are a modern boutique jewellers based in Halifax town centre and run a busy retailing environment in store and online. Our new member of staff must be used to working with customers on a daily basis, being happy to chat to customers upsell and add on to sales. We are looking for someone who is friendly and confident. Working as part of a team and using your initiative is essential for our business to run effectively.
