Contract: Permanent

Salary: £17,087 to £18,739 per annum, £10.92 to £11.98 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week

Closing date: 18 November 2018

SHARE is a joint Calderdale Council and NHS mental health services initiative based in Halifax. The aim of our service is to support residents and people on recovery, so they are able to lead more independent lives in the community, safely and to the best of their abilities.

The Council is seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to join a friendly team. You will work with individuals in domestic and community settings, assessing their needs and developing and implementing planned support. The successful applicant will be expected to be imaginative and resourceful and will consider change positively. You will have an understanding of the issues surrounding supporting the recovery of people who experience a serious mental illness.

It is essential that you have experience of working in a mental health and social care setting, and can demonstrate ability to work as a team member without direct supervision. You will be expected to hold a qualification in Health and Social Care or in an equivalent relevant subject.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real positive impact on people’s lives then this is a perfect opportunity for you.

In return, the benefits package includes membership of the Local Authority pension scheme, retail discounts, car hire and cycle to work schemes, flexible working arrangements, and generous annual leave entitlement as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive friendly team.
