Residential Support Worker (Night Waking) – Calderdale Council

Salary:              £11,391 to £12,492 per annum, hourly rate £10.92 plus enhancement for waking night

Hours:               20 hours over 2 nights

SHARE (Supported Housing and Recovery Emergency) is a joint Calderdale Council and NHS mental health services initiative. SHARE scheme based near Halifax town centre, providing support for people who have mental health needs. We provide a short-term intensively supported accommodation service, a respite service, crisis beds and an out of hour’s telephone support line

The post holder will work two nights per week; this is a lone working post with the support of a member of the team who will be on ‘sleep in’. The successful applicant will be expected to use their skills to make decisions, identify and assess individual risk and needs. You will have an understanding of the issues supporting people who experience serious mental illnesses.

Applications are invited from people with experience working in a mental health and social care settings, who can demonstrate their ability to work as a team member without direct supervision. They will be expected to hold a certificate in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
